The department of general surgery, ASRAM Academy of sciences started functioning since the inception of the institution.

We have three General Surgical theatres which are well equipped and facilitate to conduct an average of 200 operations per month including General Surgical, Laparoscopic, Peripheral Vascular, Thoracic & Endocrine Surgeries (Thyroid, Adrenal & Pancreas).

Entire department of General Surgery is actively involved in the teaching program of Under Graduate (M.B.B.S) and Post Graduate (M.S.)students in conducting Theory classes as well as clinical demonstrations to the students. The students are also exposed to the guest lecturers from the surgical Specialties of our Institute and also specialists from various Institutes.
